The “Marginal” – I was very nervous about taking pictures in Luanda. I had read that the police could detain you if you were caught taking pictures in public.

The port and its cranes and to the left are the train tracks which are being rehabilitated (well, so they say)

traffic jam

Traffic chaos on Rocha Pinto. Had never seen anything like it – worse than Nairobi and Dakar put together.

Bracknell, England

We just came back from a long weekend in England. Out of the 87 pictures I took in 4 days, this was the only scenic picture among the bunch. ( i was too busy taking pictures of friends instead… )   :)

There is always next time…

The broad boulevard of Unter den Linden (beneath the Lime Trees) is the city’s main east-west artery

The Brandenburger Tor at sunset

Bundestag: the parliament building, inscribed with the words Dem Deutschen Volke (“to the German People”)

A new glass dome was placed on top when it was renovated – you can access the viewing deck of the glass dome but there was a very long queue and we did not have the patience…

The newly inaugurated Hauptbanhof, Berlin’s central train station

Malmö, SWEDEN

Malmö’s central train station (Malmö also has a syd train station)

This was a very intriguing piece of “art” – they are there just for display as no water comes out of them.

Skomakareg (a pedestrian street) with the Form Design Center on the right (terracotta building)

TheFormDesignCenter courtyard just off Lila Torg.

The city’s waterfront – at the feet of the “Turning Torso”

The Turning Torso is indeed an amazing piece of engineering
